My family spent the weekend at a cabin in Bat Cave, NC. One of the evening activities (if you hadn't had too much to drink yet) was puzzle building. If you did have too much to drink, you made fun of the puzzle builders. Note that I am not at the table building a puzzle.

One year ago today, Lindsay's bone marrow biopsy came back negative. So, to celebrate this very emotional anniversary, we asked Lindsay what she wanted to do. "Have friends over! And have a cake! And have ice cream!" It was a really happy day.

Uncle Kevin and Avery came to visit this weekend to see me get me head shaved for the St. Baldrick's Foundation!!

Day 42

Yesterday, I had my head shaved for a fundraising event for childhood cancer research. The St. Baldrick's Foundation gives hundreds of thousands of dollars away in the form of grants to researchers searching for cures. My daughter is a leukemia (AML) survivor and directly benefitted from the better medicine coming from that research. I think this may be an annual event for me.
